Press play and travel all the way to a cozy beachside cafe somewhere in Latin America with this relaxing mix of bossa nova, ocean waves, and soft background chatter.
Ramblings
Early this summer, a friend and I decided to rent a waterfront cottage in the city of Torrevieja, Spain. We thought it would be a great place to work: warm weather every day, a short drive to the beach, tons of restaurants, andā¦ a pink lake, right in front of our house. Apparently, the color is due to a specific type of bacteria.
Itās one of the nicest things Iāve ever seen.
Plus, this lake is full of salt (which is why itās called Las Salinas) so you float like a balloon. Itās fun.
Thereās a small pond nearby with mud that locals spread on their bodies after bathing in the lake. Apparently, the combo is magic for the skin. I donāt know about that, but I want to believe it.
I couldnāt find proper pictures from that lake on my phone, so I stole this one from Sunshine Seeker:
Our stay in Torrevieja was amazing.
The only issue was the wifi.
It sucked.
We didnāt get much work done, but we had a great vacation.
Make your drink at home
A fresh mint tea pairs well with bossa nova.
Grab a handful of mint leaves and put them in a saucepan with a cup of water and green tea. Remove from the stove once the water starts boiling.
Filter and let it cool down.
Add ice cubes, fresh mint leaves, and some fruits (lemon or orange) so it looks like a healthy sangria.
Cheers! š¹

Great job with this Alicia! Thank you! Btw, kinda wishing I had your drink instead of coffee this morning. Sounds refreshing!
