Let’s experiment with a new type of sound.
Today, we boarded on the Jupiter, a spaceship heading to Alpha Centauri, a planet from another galaxy that will be the new home of humankind.

Ramblings
I was sick for the past few days, hence my work last week was inconsistent. Some of my newsletters’ issues didn’t go out, I didn’t publish any stories on my blog, and didn’t reply to emails.
Thus, I started wondering how solopreneurs can better plan and automate their businesses so they can take last-minute days off without losing track of things, missing deadlines, etc.
Here are three things you can do to make sure your business (whether it’s an app, a newsletter, a blog, or an agency) runs smoothly when you’re not there:
Overshare. If you have a virtual assistant, make sure you share the projects you’re working on, deadlines, and best practices with them. You can do so by using Trello, Hive, and other organizational tools as well as creating a document to explain what you do on a daily basis.
Tip: to explain a process/workflow to someone using screenshots, try Tango.
Plan. As a content creator, having a content calendar is key. Know when and what to post, and schedule content at least a few days in advance.
Automate, automate, automate. If you’re not familiar with Zapier, you should create an account today and check out all the different kinds of automation you can implement to simplify your life and business. For example, you can send automatic follow-ups, create Trello cards from Gmail threads, automatically publish newsletter issues to your blog, and much more.
Make your own drink
I’m a fan of mulled wine and apple cider. Here’s a white wine version of the traditional mulled wine — delicious.
