Bookstore gems
I love hanging out in bookstores and buying random books. Weird, right?
Somehow, the right book always seems to find me at the right moment. I remember picking up Untamed by Glennon Doyle in Tenerife last year, and it was exactly what I needed at the time.
Untamed helped me make key decisions and navigate the turmoil that was my life back then. Since that day, I’ve always tried to leave room for serendipity when choosing my next read.
Therefore, I brought home 3 books from my London trip last week:
Burning Questions, by Margaret Atwood — a compilation of the author’s essays, speeches, and book reviews from 2004 onwards.
Careering, by Daisy Buchanan — a novel about a woman in a toxic relationship with her job, trying to climb the ladder in a highly-competitive industry.
Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before? by Julie Smith — life questions answered by a therapist.
