Iāve been writing this newsletter for a week now and itās time for a confession.
I never watched Lord of the Rings. Ever. And Iām not planning to.
Itās way too long.
But I can definitely join you in imagining that we are hobbits in ourā¦ caves (?), sipping tea while itās raining outside.
Ramblings
After a year of remote work, I decided to try coliving for the first time ā and eventually became a ādigital nomad,ā though these days Iām just working at my good olā parentsā house in Eastern France.
A coliving is a shared house for remote workers and digital nomads. Usually, you have access to activities like yoga and community BBQs so you can bond with others.
I booked a stay at Nine Coliving, in the South of Tenerife, a Spanish island. It marked the end of my life as I knew it and the beginning of something new. I couldnāt say exactly what.
I was surrounded by incredible people ā travelers, adventurers, all of them kind and brilliant and interesting. I donāt know if itās their influence, the daily yoga sessions, or the island as a whole that changed me ā but I did change, in the best possible way.
Living in a community forces you to get out of your comfort zone and try new things (like paragliding!). You connect on a deeper level with people. You learn from them, you become wiser and happier and braver as you share new adventures with others. Youāre more inspired and produce better work.
Soon after, I quit my job to pursue writing.
If you ever go paragliding, donāt forget your sunglasses š
Make your own drink
How about a special tea? Youāll need to prepare it in advance, though. Two weeks, to be exact.
I like to make my own tea blends by buying classic green tea and adding stuff in it ā chocolate, dried fruits, herbsā¦
To make this one, you need a hermetic box or bocal, green tea, mint leaves, and dried apricots. Quantities depend on your personal taste and how much tea you want to make.
Cut the dried apricots into small cubes and chop the mint. Mix the preparation with your green tea. Store in a hermetic container for two weeks. Then, enjoy!
