Cosplay is extremely popular in Japan, especially in the town of Akihabara.
Did you know that the word cosplay is short for âcostume play?â
âCosplayersâ or âplayersâ dress up as characters from anime, manga, or video games.
Many cosplayers from all over the world report that dressing up as their favorite heroes boosts their self-confidence and overall happiness.
Today, letâs take a walk in the streets of Akihabara. What will your costume be?
Ramblings
I found a fun (free) networking platform recently. Itâs called Cafecito.
Once you fill out some basic information (interests, passions, industry, job), Cafecito matches you with someone else and organizes a virtual coffee break for you. Meetings take place on Mondays.
This platform is great for remote workers â it allows you to make connections and meet new people in the comfort of your home. I met some great people over a cafecito (= little coffee) and strongly recommend that you give it a try.
Make your own drink
While listening to todayâs video, make yourself a nice matcha latte.
Matcha has been popular in Japan since the 1100s! This particular type of green tea is full of antioxidants and very beneficial for your health.
In a blender, mix two teaspoons of matcha and a cup of your favorite milk (cold or warm). You should even get a nice coffee shop-style foam. Enjoy!
