If I was to give myself some advice, it would be to take things slow and ask a LOT of questions. This onboarding period is the time to adjust and get a feel for all the processes, software, tasks, etc., so its okay to annoy people. :)
You're right -- great advice. Congrats on getting the job and good luck!!
Don't try to:
a) Be everybody's friend; b) Show how much you already know; or c) Become indispensible.
Just let people show you who (they think) they are and what (they think) the business is actually about. Good luck - friend!
